PHP/Laravel Developer
Birmingham | £40,000 - £50,000
This is an exciting opportunity for a PHP/Laravel Developer to join a growing technology team working on a mixture of greenfield development and the enhancement of established applications. You will have the chance to influence technical decisions, build modern web solutions, and contribute to projects with real business impact.

The Role
You will:
- Develop and deliver new features using PHP, Laravel, Vue.js, and modern web technologies.
- Contribute to a greenfield application while also enhancing existing business-critical systems.
- Design and integrate APIs, internal systems, and third-party services.
- Build responsive, accessible, and user-focused web applications.
- Investigate issues, troubleshoot defects, and implement reliable solutions.
- Participate in technical design, code reviews, testing, and release activities.
- Collaborate closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Support continuous improvement across architecture, security, and development practices.

Your Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience developing web applications with PHP and Laravel.
- Experience working with Vue.js, with exposure to Inertia.js being beneficial.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, MVC architecture, and software design principles.
- Experience working with MySQL, relational databases, and query optimisation.
- Strong JavaScript, HTML, and CSS skills.
- Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with authentication and authorisation technologies, including enterprise identity solutions.
- Knowledge of Git-based development workflows and automated testing practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team.
