Job Title: PHP Developer
Salary: Up to £50,000 (Dependent on experience)
Location: Shoreham-by-Sea (Hybrid - Once a week working in office)
(Internal Job Level Reference: Senior Associate)

This is your chance to join an experienced, friendly, collaborative team working on the evolution of several business critical systems (Billing and CRM).
The PHP Developer is responsible for undertaking the building of new functionality and supporting existing functionality across Focus Group's portfolio of internal applications and services.
This multi-faceted role will involve working closely with the internal development team developing set deliverables that are fit for purpose.
Principal Responsibilities/Duties
- Develop change requests and fixes on Focus Bespoke CMS and CRM applications.
- Write unit tests and work with the QA Analyst to ensure new developments are fit for purpose and meet the acceptance criteria.
- Undertake work on the Support desk on a rota basis for development related issues.
- Work on projects as required by the business.
- Actively participate in stand-ups, team meetings and poker planning sessions.

Requirements
Essential Skills
- Good ability in writing unit tests.
- Efficient understanding of Javascript, JQuery, Vue.js.
- Previous experience using SQL (preferably MariaDB/MySQL).
- Able to demonstrate efficiency in HTML5 / CSS / Bootstrap and Laravel.
- Knowledge of API Development / PostMan.
- Working knowledge of branching and using Git version control.
- Ability to build meaningful, working relationships with colleagues.
- Proven experience in an equivalent role.
- Customer focused with a desire to understand and deliver customers' requirements.
- Experience of the software development life cycle.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Passionate about delivering high quality products and ensuring standards are met.
- Team player who enjoys problem solving.

Desired Skills
- Experience of billing systems (Telecoms, MSP, ICT).
- Previous exposure to CRM systems.
- Previous exposure to CMS systems.
- Relevant industry experience.
- Knowledge or an interest in cloud development.
- Working knowledge of development security principles and practices
- Any exposure to.Net framework.
