About The Role
We are seeking a skilled PHP Web Developer to join our dynamic technical team in Chichester, West Sussex. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a developer passionate about creating bespoke web solutions to contribute to a variety of projects that directly impact client success. As part of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom web applications and business systems. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise and practical experience, including:
- Commercial experience with modern, object-oriented PHP 8.
- Experience working with PHP frameworks or large-scale PHP applications.
- A strong passion for writing clean, maintainable, and reusable code.
- Familiarity with code quality tools such as PHPUnit, static analysis, or automated testing processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of investigating and resolving complex technical issues.
- Effective communication skills and confidence working directly with clients and colleagues.
- A proven track record of successfully delivering projects, with accurate estimation and early risk identification.
Desirable skills include experience in areas such as AI-assisted development, front-end technologies, eCommerce platforms, database design, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps practices, among others.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Design, develop, and maintain bespoke web applications and business systems tailored to client needs.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues and clients to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, and scalable code adhering to best practices and industry standards.
- Implement and utilize testing frameworks and tools to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues, providing timely resolutions.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
- Manage project priorities effectively, balancing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Engage with clients directly to present solutions, gather feedback, and ensure satisfaction.
