About The Role
We are seeking a skilled PHP Web Developer to join our client's dynamic technical team in Chichester, West Sussex. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about web development to contribute to the creation of innovative digital solutions. The successful candidate will be involved in designing, developing, and maintaining bespoke websites, e-commerce platforms, and business systems tailored to meet client-specific requirements. The position offers a hybrid working model, providing flexibility between remote work and onsite presence in Chichester. The salary range for this role is approximately £35,000 to £45,000, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in web development with expertise in PHP and object-oriented programming (OOP). Proficiency in the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) is essential, along with a good understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Experience working with AI technologies and integrating them into web solutions is advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory if accompanied by relevant professional experience.
Responsibilities
- Developing high-quality, scalable web applications that align with client specifications
- Writing clean, efficient code, and implementing responsive designs to ensure optimal user experience across devices
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers and project managers, to translate requirements into functional features
- Participating in code reviews, testing, and debugging to maintain code quality and performance
- Keeping abreast of the latest industry trends and integrating innovative solutions, such as AI functionalities, into projects
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines, and communicating effectively with clients and team members alike
