A young professional couple based in Horton, Gloucestershire, are seeking an experienced Live-Out Housekeeper to help run their beautiful bungalow set on three acres. This is an excellent opportunity for a meticulous, self-sufficient professional who thrives in a well-organised, low-key environment.
The ideal candidate will be someone who can seamlessly blend into the background while maintaining the highest standards of housekeeping. You'll be trusted to manage the home efficiently, take initiative, and require minimal supervision once settled into the routine.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organisation, and household management, ensuring that the home runs smoothly and efficiently. This role involves a blend of housekeeping, pet care, household errands, and light administrative support, all carried out with discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail. The household is occupied by a young professional couple who are often working and travelling, so the housekeeper will play a key role in creating a comfortable, organised, and welcoming environment.

Position: Live-Out Housekeeper
Location: Horton, Gloucestershire (outskirts of Bristol)
Pets: Yes, 3 Bengal cats
Working Hours: Full-time (exact schedule to be confirmed); flexibility required
Salary: £44,000–£48,000 per annum gross (negotiable depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP (for the right candidate)
Driving Licence & Own Vehicle: Required
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- General housekeeping and maintenance of a 5-6 bedroom, 6 bathroom property (not all bedrooms actively used)
- Laundry and wardrobe management
- Basic meal preparation and cooking (building a meal plan with the family)
- Shopping and errands (including occasional tasks such as taking the car for MOT)
- Care for three Bengal cats (feeding, letting in/out safely, general pet care)
- Upkeep of guest bedrooms and less frequently used spaces
- Maintaining a well-organised, clean, and welcoming home environment

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Minimum 5–7 years of private household experience
- Two excellent, checkable verbal references
- Valid UK work permit
- Fluent English
- Discreet, professional, and able to blend into the background
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle essential
- DBS check
