Physical Logistics Operator
Location: Derby
Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time
We have an excellent opportunity for a Physical Logistics Operator to join the team on a Permanent full-time basis in Derby.

Position summary
This role will provide operational and logistics support to the Operations team, ensuring engines, modules, tooling and associated equipment are safely and efficiently moved, stored and prepared throughout the engine service process. The role will involve supporting day-to-day workshop activities, including logistics coordination, tooling management, engine movement, loading/unloading and preservation activities.
What you will be doing:
As a PLO team member you will be accountable for tasks in support of the work performed by operations teams, This will include;
- Logistics support; including receipt and despatch of engines, modules and tooling, and moving engines between the EOS shop and Test Beds.
- Management of on-site tooling storage. This includes kitting sets of tooling prior to engine induction and providing a supply of any tools that are required ad-hoc throughout strip, repair and build.
- Coordination and completion of logistics related tasks to support in-shop engine services, including engine and non-module wash.
- General assistance to the Operations team to enable engine tasks to be completed efficiently including participation in loading/unloading, movement and bagging of engines including preservation checks.

Who we're looking for:
We are looking for an experienced logistics operator with strong teamworking and communication skills, to be successful in this role you will also have:
- A Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence and experience operating lifting equipment.
- Strong teamworking and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across Operations and Engineering teams.
- Highly organised and reliable, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a busy operational environment.
- Good logistics and material-handling skills, including loading/unloading, movement and storage of engines, modules and tooling.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to health, safety and quality, with the ability to follow processes and procedures.
