Physical & Sensory Support Assistant
Wilshire - Trowbridge | Full/Part time available | £85-£110 per day | September 2026 Start
Are you a passionate, patient and enthusiastic Physical & Sensory Support Assistant to provide dedicated one-to-one support for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? This Physical & Sensory Support Assistant role is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference to children daily life by supporting their physical development, sensory regulation, communication and independence.
Working as part of a wider multidisciplinary team, you will help create a safe, engaging and nurturing environment where the child can thrive both academically and personally. Every day is different, and you'll play a key role in celebrating achievements and building confidence.

- Implementing personalised sensory strategies and programmes designed by therapists and their professionals
- Supporting the child physical needs, mobility and position where appropriate
- Supporting communication using verbal, visual and alternative communication methods as appropriate
- Promoting independence, confidence and self-esteem through positive, child-centred support
About you
This Physical & Sensory Support Assistant would be suitable for:
- Has an interest in child development, physical support or sensory integration
- Has excellent communication and observation skills
- Is committed to promoting inclusion, independence and the wellbeing of children
- This Inclusive Coach / Intervention Specialist would be suitable for people with backgrounds or aspirations in the following: Teaching Assistance, Psychology, Children's Support Work, Special Educational Needs (SEN).

What we offer
This Physical & Sensory Support Assistant role offers:
- £85-£110 per day, depending on experience
- PAYE - Weekly pay
- Full and Part time roles starting in September 2026
