Overview
Provides direct and indirect patient care to assist in the rehabilitation and restoration of normal body function after illness and/or injury. Implements treatment programs according to the plan of care, administers modalities, trains patients in T.E., transfers, and gait and supervises PT Assistants and PT Aides.
Responsibilities
- Excels in professional growth and development.
- Willingness to work in multiple venues and adjust work schedule to meet department mission.
- Provides community education in conjunction with hospital education programs.
- Ability to correctly identify problems and develop a treatment plan at conclusion of the initial evaluation.
- Emphasizes and achieves continuity of care through effective documentation and verbal communication.
- Adequate computer skills to achieve accurate billing and documentation.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Ability to effectively and safely transfer patients with significant physical and/or mental impairment.
- Ability to respond to Specific Task Requests.
- Demonstrates Clinical Competence

Qualifications
- Able to communicate effectively, pleasantly, cooperatively, and discretely with patients, physicians, team members, and the general public.
- Able to work under pressure and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to relate well with people of diverse backgrounds, training and experience.
- Demonstration of creativity, initiative, and problem solving.
