Role Description
The Physical Therapy Specialist will provide remote, evidence-based physical rehabilitation services to clients, focusing on functional improvement and pain management. This part-time role includes assessing client needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and guiding clients through therapeutic exercises and mobility training via virtual sessions. The specialist will collaborate with mental health and medical professionals as needed, monitor progress, and adjust care plans to support holistic recovery. Additional responsibilities may include documenting clinical notes, educating clients and caregivers on home-based care strategies, and contributing to wellness programs tailored for organizations and universities.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation to design and deliver effective, individualized treatment plans.
- Candidates should possess skills in Patient Care and Home Care to ensure compassionate, safe, and practical support in remote and home-based settings.
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Medicine to understand diagnoses, contraindications, and interdisciplinary care.
- Relevant professional licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist or equivalent, in good standing with appropriate regulatory bodies.
- Experience providing telehealth or remote care, including comfort with digital platforms and electronic health records.
- Strong communication, active listening, and documentation skills, with the ability to work independently and manage a part-time caseload.
- Prior experience in musculoskeletal, orthopedic, or neurological rehabilitation, especially in integrated mental and physical health settings, is beneficial.
