Position: Physics Expert

About the Opportunity
We are seeking PhD and Postdoctoral-level Physics Experts to support a high-impact project focused on training next-generation AI systems. You’ll solve advanced physics problems, develop rigorous scientific solutions, and help improve AI reasoning across complex scientific concepts.
No prior AI experience is required — your physics expertise is the primary qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Solve advanced physics problems within your research specialization.
- Produce rigorous derivations and structured solutions using LaTeX.
- Document assumptions, approximations, reasoning, and final results clearly.
- Use Python, SymPy, and Jupyter for symbolic and numerical verification.
- Identify boundary conditions, limiting cases, special cases, and dimensional consistency.
- Review project materials, identify ambiguities, and provide well-reasoned interpretations.
- Revise solutions based on reviewer feedback while maintaining technical accuracy.
- Follow professional scientific documentation and reproducibility standards.

Required Qualifications
- PhD in Physics or advanced-stage PhD candidacy with active research experience.
- Research expertise in at least one advanced physics subfield.
- Strong mathematical and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent technical and scientific writing abilities.
- Proficiency with LaTeX for scientific and mathematical writing.
- Working proficiency with Python, SymPy, and Jupyter.
- Ability to independently analyze complex physics problems and produce rigorous solutions.
- Strong attention to mathematical and physical consistency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active or recent research experience in High Energy Physics, Mathematical Physics, Biophysics, Statistical Physics, or Condensed Matter Physics.
- Experience with Moiré Systems, Magnetism, PXP/Rydberg Systems, AMO, or Quantum Optics.
- Strong computational or numerical research experience.

Compensation
- Competitive compensation of $100–$200/hour.
- Independent contractor engagement.
- Approximately 10–15+ hours/week.
- Project duration of approximately 8–10 weeks.
- Fully remote with a flexible schedule, including evenings or weekends.
- Immediate project engagement expected.
