Physiotherapy Team Opportunity
We are delighted to be able to offer an opportunity for highly motivated, ambitious individuals to join our physiotherapy team. Due to the fixed term nature of this role all rotations will take place within the inpatient service at Royal Lancaster Infirmary. Working as a Band 5 Physiotherapist
You may have the opportunity to work across a variety of clinical areas across inpatients and outpatients. These areas include orthopaedics, medicine, elderly rehab, Surgery/ICU. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills with support from experienced Specialist and Advanced Physiotherapists. You will have the opportunity to support our weekend service, your experience and skill will determine which team you will support whether that be the on-call and weekend service or the weekend orthopaedic service at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary. This is on a rota basis.

Key Responsibilities
- Providing clinical input for a caseload of patients, supporting discharge and patient flow as part of the MDT.
- Contributing to service improvement, helping to develop and improve our pathways of care for our patients.
- Learning from a team of experienced Specialist and Advanced Physiotherapists.
- Contributing to the clinical education of students within our team.
- Developing leadership skills working with, training, and delegating to our technical instructor staff.
Development Opportunities
- Annual Development Review programme.
- Clinical and managerial in-service training programme.
- Band 5 Physiotherapy Peer Support group who meet monthly.
Requirements
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) must be in place by Jan 2027.
- Attendance at the assessment centre in person will be required. There will not be a remote option.

Locations
We operate from three main hospitals:
- Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow.
- The Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI).
- Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal.
As well as a number of community health care premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
