Location: 380 Ewell Road, Tolworth, Surbiton, KT6 7BE
Salary: up to £41,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a performance bonus
Hours: 37 hours per week: four weekdays, 9am to 6pm (with a one-hour unpaid lunch), plus Saturdays, 9am to 2pm
Contract: permanent, full-time
About us
Lambert Sports Clinic is a CQC-registered multidisciplinary clinic in Surbiton. We bring together physiotherapy, sports medicine, general practice, dermatology, gynaecology, sports massage, blood testing and 3D body scanning under one roof. Since relaunching, we have grown to over 3,000 registered patients, almost entirely by word of mouth. We serve a diverse community across South West London, including a large Portuguese and Brazilian-speaking population.
We're looking for an experienced Senior Physiotherapist to lead our physiotherapy service and play a central part in the clinic's next stage of growth.
The role
You'll manage a complex musculoskeletal and sports injury caseload, using advanced assessment and manual therapy skills, including spinal and peripheral manipulation. You'll work closely with our GPs and sports medicine team, with quick access to referrals, blood tests and second opinions. As our senior physio, you'll also help shape the service, support other therapists and develop our relationships with insurers and local sports clubs.
Key responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose and treat complex musculoskeletal, spinal, sports and post-operative conditions.
- Deliver advanced manual therapy, including spinal and peripheral joint manipulation (HVT/HVLA) and mobilisation, alongside exercise-based rehabilitation.
- Design and deliver individual treatment and rehabilitation programmes with clear, measurable outcomes.
- Keep accurate, timely clinical notes in line with HCPC and CQC standards (we use Cliniko).
- Treat self-funding and insured patients, managing insurer authorisations, paperwork and reports.
- Provide clinical guidance and mentoring to other therapists, including sports massage therapists and junior or locum physiotherapists.
- Work with our GPs and sports medicine team on patient pathways and onward referrals.
- Lead on growing the physiotherapy service: patient retention, clinical protocols, workshops, and partnerships with local sports clubs and employers.
- Take part in and lead clinical audit, CPD and service improvement.

Essential requirements
- Degree in Physiotherapy (BSc or MSc).
- Current HCPC registration.
- Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) or equivalent professional indemnity cover.
- At least 5 years' post-qualification experience in musculoskeletal and/or sports physiotherapy, including working independently with a complex caseload.
- Proven training and experience in spinal and peripheral manipulation (HVT/HVLA).
- Strong clinical reasoning with complex and chronic presentations.
- Excellent communication skills and a genuinely patient-centred approach.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one), as we treat patients from age 4 upwards.

Preferred
- Recognition with private medical insurers such as Bupa, AXA Health, Aviva, Vitality or WPA.
- MACP membership or postgraduate qualification in manual/musculoskeletal therapy.
- Additional skills such as acupuncture/dry needling, sports rehabilitation, or pilates-based rehab.
- Experience in professional or semi-professional sport.
- Experience of mentoring or supervising other clinicians.
- Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese or Polish would be a real advantage.
