We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, caring and skilled Band 6 neuro physiotherapist to fill a static position within the Chelsea and Westminster Foundation Trust.

This is a specialist multidisciplinary team which provides a service to adults within North West London. The team consists of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Specialist Nurse, and rehabilitation support workers all providing goal focused rehabilitation on an acute ward.

Responsibilities

  • To provide a high standard physiotherapy service to neurologically impaired patients in Chelsea and Westminster.
  • To work closely with patients and their carers, other disciplines and services, to identify and realise desired and achievable goals, and optimise wellbeing, Independence and quality of life.
  • To work with clients with stroke who are inpatients at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. This includes specialist client assessment, treatment and ongoing rehabilitation, working towards client centred goals in the context of Stroke Rehabilitation and as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
  • To work as an autonomous practitioner in providing specialist stroke and neurological assessment and treatment to own designated caseload of patients and to maintain up to date therapy records.
  • To assist in the day to day running and organisation of Stroke and Neurological therapy service to patients on the stroke unit, and elsewhere in the hospital.

Requirements

The successful candidate must have experience of working in core areas of physiotherapy, have experience within neurology. They must be dynamic and flexible to the workload fluctuations.
