Are you a Physiotherapist that is passionate about neurorehabilitation and being able to have a positive impact on an individual’s quality of life? If so, we want to hear from you.
We are recruiting for a Physiotherapist to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract. Experience in neurological rehabilitation is desirable, although this role would also suit a Physiotherapist looking to take the next step in their career and develop specialist neurological experience.
Working within an exciting and dynamic environment, you will provide comprehensive assessment and high-quality therapy interventions to individuals with a wide range of neurological conditions, including Stroke, Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Spinal Cord Injuries.
You will work closely with residents, their families and the wider multidisciplinary team, using a wide range of resources, equipment and up-to-date technology to support rehabilitation and maximise independence.
About The Role
We are looking for a Physiotherapist who has experience assessing and providing therapy to adults with neurological conditions, alongside experience of supporting discharge planning.
You Will Have The Opportunity To
- Deliver individual and group therapy based on clinical need.
- Support community access and vocational rehabilitation sessions.
- Work closely with residents, families and the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Contribute to discharge planning and goal-setting.
- Provide supervision and support to Therapy Assistants.
- Participate in service development and improvement projects.
- Attend and contribute to weekly therapy team meetings and in-service training.
- Develop your specialist knowledge through internal and external training opportunities.

- A therapy-led service where you can provide therapy at the frequency you deem clinically appropriate.
- A varied caseload with opportunities for 1:1 therapy, group therapy, community access and vocational sessions.
- Weekly in-service training to support your Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Opportunities to request additional external training to support your individual development and specialist portfolio.
- The opportunity to play an active role in service development and improvement.

About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- A qualified and HCPC-registered Physiotherapist.
- Experienced in, or passionate about developing their career in, neurological rehabilitation.
- Confident assessing and treating adults with neurological conditions.
- Able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Committed to delivering person-centred, evidence-based rehabilitation.
- Enthusiastic about learning, professional development and service improvement.
- A strong communicator who can build positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues.

About Us
The Marbrook Centre is a specialist Neurological Rehabilitation provider in St Neots, Cambridgeshire. Since opening 10 years ago, we have developed a track record of consistently high quality therapy outcomes and positive feedback from individuals and families and our ICB partners on the rehabilitation and care experience.
We hold three services within the one building;
- Eden - Inpatient Rehab Unit - Providing intensive rehabilitation for people post-stroke, acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury and other acute neurological conditions
- Bray - Long-term Nursing Unit Providing nursing care for those with long-term neurological conditions
- Mayfield - Dementia Unit Providing residential care for those living with dementia.

At The Marbrook Centre, we put the individual at the centre of their rehabilitation and care with a focus on high person led goal setting. Physiotherapy is a vital part of this process and is invaluable in providing independence and a better quality of life to those who we support. We work closely with the medical and care teams, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists and Clinical Psychologist, who all work within the same building.
The Physiotherapy team input daily into the inpatient rehabilitation unit; providing intensive rehabilitation for around 6-12 weeks (sometimes longer), and provide splinting and transfer/mobility advice input to those on the long-term nursing and dementia units.
