West Middlesex Hospital Site
We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 physiotherapist to join the orthopaedic therapy team at West Middlesex Hospital. We are a busy team caring for elective and trauma patients.
- Role Overview: You will have prior experience working in a variety of acute settings inclusive of acute orthopaedics. Experience in respiratory physiotherapy is also essential.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a clinical caseload.
- Support the team with more complex cases.
- Has supervisory and teaching responsibilities.
- Role model for expert clinical care.
- Lead on specific projects / service developments and management functions as delegated by the Band 7 therapist or Clinical Lead Therapist.
- Role model the identified Trust values at all times.
- Duties:
- Work as an autonomous practitioner in providing physiotherapy assessment, treatment and management to their own designated caseload of patients.
- Maintain up to date physiotherapy records.
- Use evidence-based principles and current best practice to assess, plan, implement and evaluate physiotherapy interventions.
- Provide supervision, teaching and support to more junior staff, therapy assistants and students on placement.
- Actively participate in the 5 in 7 weekend rota and respiratory on-call rota.
