Physiotherapy Assistant

Pay: £13.50 per hour (salaried role)

Location: Based at Epinal Way Care Centre, with travel to other services as required

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Shifts: Shift-based rota over 7 days, including weekends and public holidays

Physiotherapy can make a real difference to a person’s mobility, independence and quality of life. As a Physiotherapy Assistant with Rushcliffe Care Group, you will support the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred physiotherapy, helping service users improve and maintain their physical function and independence.

About The Role

Working under the direction and supervision of a qualified Physiotherapist, you will support rehabilitation programmes designed to improve mobility, independence and overall wellbeing.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Supporting delegated physiotherapy and rehabilitation programmes within your assessed level of competence
  • Assisting with mobility, transfers, functional training and exercise programmes
  • Supporting the safe use of therapy equipment
  • Monitoring service user progress and reporting any changes to the Physiotherapist
  • Maintaining clear and accurate records
  • Working closely with the wider multidisciplinary team, families and carers
  • Adapting your communication and approach to meet individual service user needs
  • Supporting the organisation of appointments, equipment and therapy areas
  • Contributing to team meetings, training and service development

This role requires you to work safely within your level of competence and to follow the direction and supervision of the Physiotherapist.

  • Healthcare experience to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
  • To be working towards Level 1 Physiotherapy Assistant Competencies
  • Knowledge of physiotherapy techniques and equipment
  • The ability to follow delegated treatment programmes safely and effectively
  • Good communication, organisational and record-keeping skills
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • A positive, professional and compassionate approach
  • A willingness to complete training and continue your professional development
  • The physical ability to support mobility, transfers and the safe use of equipment
  • A commitment to confidentiality, safeguarding and following Rushcliffe Care Group policies and procedures
  • A current driving licence where driving is required as part of the role
