We have a 12-month contract opportunity for an experienced PI System Specialist to join our team.

As a PI System Specialist, you will support the technical delivery of a major PI consolidation and migration programme. Working across operational technology and enterprise environments, you will help design, configure, migrate, validate and stabilise AVEVA PI services while protecting data integrity and minimising disruption.

Role Overview

  • Install, configure and commission AVEVA PI System components, including PI Data Archive, Asset Framework, PI Interfaces and PI Vision.
  • Apply PI security best practice across identity, access control and secure multi-tier environments spanning OT, IT, DMZ and Level 4 architectures.
  • Plan and execute PI Data Archive backup, restoration, validation, cleanup and reprocessing activities while protecting data integrity.
  • Design and implement PI-to-PI interfaces across network boundaries and configure or migrate OT PI Interfaces.
  • Validate integrations and data flows end to end, including interfaces with third-party PI Collectives.
  • Lead migration of PI AF databases while maintaining structures, hierarchies and references.
  • Migrate PI Analytics, Event Frames, PI Vision dashboards, displays and related applications with minimal downtime.
  • Reconfigure PI services to align with the target architecture and support post-migration testing, validation and performance tuning.
  • Troubleshoot incidents during transition and provide practical user support through migration and hypercare.
  • Produce clear documentation covering system configurations, migration activity and operational procedures.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Proven delivery experience across AVEVA PI System implementations, migrations or consolidation activity.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of PI Data Archive, Asset Framework, PI Interfaces, PI-to-PI and PI Vision.
  • Experience managing PI backup, restore, archive validation, data integrity and migration processes.
  • Strong experience working across integrated OT and IT environments, including secure network boundaries and DMZs.
  • Practical experience migrating PI AF structures, Analytics, Event Frames, interfaces, dashboards and displays.
  • Ability to validate integrations and data flows, diagnose issues and tune performance after migration.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver within the controls of a structured programme.
  • Strong technical documentation, stakeholder communication and problem-solving skills.

Requirements - Desirable

  • Experience delivering large-scale PI consolidation, integration or divestment programmes.
  • Knowledge of industrial network segmentation and architecture frameworks such as the Purdue Model or ISA-95.
  • Experience working with third-party PI Collectives.
  • Experience supporting users and operational teams through technical migration and hypercare.

This 12-month contract opportunity will operate on a PAYE basis.
