Part-Time Piano Accompanist
Location: Gayton Baptist Church, Richmond, VA
Hours: 6 hours/week
Compensation: Starting at $20/hr, commensurate with experience
Key Responsibilities
- Provide keyboard accompaniment (piano) for the worship band and choir for weekly rehearsals and Sunday worship services
- Accompanying music groups for special services (e.g., Christmas Eve, Easter, etc.)
- Collaborating with the Worship Leader and worship team to coordinate worship elements
- Being prepared to play a variety of musical styles, including traditional hymns, anthems, and contemporary worship songs
- Availability to play for weddings and funerals, at your discretion, with additional compensation provided

Qualifications
- Proficiency on piano
- Strong sight-reading skills and experience accompanying choirs and congregational singing
- Familiarity with various church music styles (traditional and contemporary)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, volunteers, and the congregation
- A positive and encouraging team player who can help foster a harmonious musical environment
- A commitment to the vision and spiritual life of the congregation
