Description
Staten Island Conservatory of Music is located in the north shore of Staten Island on the campus of the beautiful Snug Harbor Cultural Center. We are searching for an individual to teach piano to students ages 5 and up. The position is one day a week (Monday or Thursday), and the instructor will be paid hourly. The instructor will prepare students for bi-annual recitals as well as any necessary auditions. Lessons are typically 30, 45, and 60 minutes. The instructor will be expected to incorporate music history and theory into the lesson when applicable.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must have a Bachelor’s in Piano Performance or Music Education with an emphasis in Piano.
- Must be willing to commit to a whole 20-week semester.
- Must be able to perform intermediate level piano pieces.
- Must be able to sight-read.
- Must be patient and have a kind rapport with young students.
- Previous teaching experience is preferred.
