It is an exciting time to join the Pick Optimisation team within Online Operations. The team’s core objective is to create a Pick operating model that offers unrivalled service and profitability.

The Pick Optimisation Analyst is responsible for translating strategic aims into deliverable projects that generate tangible results. You will be accountable for cradle to grave project delivery with the aim of forging a market leading proposition. In order to achieve this, the Pick Optimisation Analyst must ensure that all projects are delivered with a customer mind-set, considering everyday low cost and an innovative approach.

Focus areas of responsibility include;

  • Store Process – Managing the comms to stores from the Pick Optimisation team in Asda House, completing Newsflash updates, spends one day a week in stores gaining feedback and looking at opportunities to develop the model further, ad-hoc weekly reporting from Power BI.
  • Support the Cross Load settings within Optima to have the most efficient pick model for each store group, analyse and present the data, own the store mapping process and modular compliance reporting
  • Innovation/Continuous Improvement – This colleague would be improving the costs of subs and quality refunds through data.

The ins and outs:

  • Co-ordinate all elements of the pick operating model within a store from when the orders are downloaded until they are on the van
  • Design, test and implement ways of presenting data to key business stakeholders to support decision making

What you’ll need:

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge and awareness of Online Grocery operations in store
  • Evidence in designing and landing projects and step change improvements
  • Project management experience
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to make sound financial decisions
  • Full driving licence and the ability to stay away from home when required

Skills:

  • The ability to analyse and utilise complex data in determining strategy and informing decision making processes
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • An innovative approach that is backed up with high levels of organisation
