Company Description

H-Pack Packaging UK Ltd is the UK and European arm of Hotpack Packaging Industries LLC Group, the largest manufacturer and distributor of food packaging materials in the Middle East. From its 200,000 sq. ft. factory in Llay near Chester, H-Pack serves the UK and European markets with eco-friendly paper and board-based products and a wide range of Hotpack packaging solutions. The wider group operates extensive manufacturing facilities, multiple international branches, and a global network of partners, supplying premium products to major customers worldwide. H-Pack works closely with clients to develop bespoke packaging under recognized international standards and technologies. Its diverse customer base includes government departments, airlines, hotel chains, retail outlets, wholesalers, supermarkets, catering companies, and independent restaurants and coffee shops.

The Picker and Packer role is a full-time, on-site position based at H-Pack’s factory in Llay, near Chester. The role involves accurately picking items from inventory based on order requirements, packing products securely and hygienically, and preparing orders for dispatch according to company standards. Day-to-day tasks include checking product labels and quantities, maintaining organized storage areas, and following health, safety, and quality procedures. The Picker and Packer will work closely with warehouse and production teams to meet dispatch schedules, handle basic documentation, and support stock replenishment as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience in warehouse, picking, packing, or similar roles, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good manual handling skills and the ability to lift, move, and pack products safely and efficiently.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills for reading labels, counting items, and completing simple documentation.
  • Understanding of health, safety, and hygiene practices in a production or warehouse environment.
  • Ability to work on-site in Llay, perform repetitive tasks, and stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a reliable and punctual work ethic.
  • Previous experience in packaging, manufacturing, or food-related industries is an advantage.
  • Willingness to learn internal systems and procedures; forklift or warehouse equipment certification is a plus.
