Keep vital supply and traceability information flowing across the business
Role Overview
Join our Pig Buying team and play an important role in supporting the efficient delivery of livestock, supplier and traceability information across the business.
This part-time position offers flexibility, working 4 hours per day, 5 days per week, while providing valuable support to a busy commercial function. You'll work closely with suppliers, customers, internal teams and industry bodies, helping to ensure data is accurate, compliant and available when needed. If you're an organised administrator who enjoys working with data, reporting and stakeholder communication, this is a great opportunity to make a meaningful contribution.
Key Duties
- Respond to telephone and email enquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate information across systems, databases and departmental records.
- Process and provide livestock movement licence information when required.
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, industry bodies and internal departments.
- Check and audit data to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance.
- Maintain Excel spreadsheets and support departmental reporting requirements.
- Produce reports and information for the Pig Buying team and wider management.
- Manage document control activities, including scanning, filing and record maintenance.
- Identify and escalate data or process issues when required.
- Support traceability audits and follow-up actions.
- Build positive working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Provide additional administrative support to the team as required.

Ideal Candidate
- Experienced in an administrative or coordination role.
- Highly accurate, with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with data, reports and record management processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Familiar with SAP or similar database systems, although this is not essential.
- A confident communicator with strong organisational skills.
- Able to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining accuracy.
- Interested in continuous improvement and identifying opportunities to enhance processes.
- From an agricultural background or familiar with the industry, which would be advantageous.
