Job Description: Pilot Plant Technician

Syensqo is all about chemistry. We’re not just referring to chemical reactions here, but also to the magic that occurs when the brightest minds get to work together. This is where our true strength lies. In you. In your future colleagues and in all your differences. And of course, in your ideas to improve lives while preserving our planet’s beauty for the generations to come.

We are looking for:

A Pilot Plant Technician (gn) to be part of a dynamic team, working a fixed day-shift pattern, to support the Wrexham Research & Innovation group in developing novel composite materials and in evaluating novel manufacturing process technologies. You are expected to work closely with scientists and engineers with a high attention for detail and a high focus on safety and quality, in line with the high standards set by a leading company in the aerospace sector.

We count on you for:

  • Supporting engineers and scientists in developing novel composite materials and manufacturing processes, from early concept through to development and scale-up
  • Running experiments and trials with a high attention to detail and following a rigorous methodology
  • Operating laboratory and pilot-scale equipment safely and reliably
  • Preparing, handling, and processing samples for testing, measurement, and visual/physical evaluation
  • Recording experimental data clearly and accurately, including statistical analysis where required
  • Contributing to method development, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities
  • Collaborating with colleagues across all departments to ensure smooth operations of the pilot plant

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
