Who Are We?

BATCAM is the UK leader in live aerial broadcasting and one of the most innovative specialist camera providers in the world, operating our own fleet of UAV systems on large-scale events every week. From the Premier League and Champions League to Horse Racing, Golf, Rugby and Athletics, as well as international events. We work at the highest level of the industry. Our blue-chip client list includes TNT Sports, Sky, BBC, OBS, UEFA, FIFA, Amazon, Netflix, DAZN and ITV.

Alongside our aerial systems, we operate a suite of specialist broadcast cameras including wire and rail systems, and a range of gimbals from SHOTOVER, Extreme Cameras, Movi Pro and DJI Ronin.

The Role

Reporting to the Chief Pilot, you'll be flying BATCAM systems live on air in front of substantial audiences. That means planning and setting up the aircraft, carrying out pre-flight inspections and checks, working to the site plan and the safety case, flying the shot the director asks for, and packing down at the end of a long day.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Live broadcast is unforgiving. You'll be working to tight schedules, alongside camera crews, riggers and production staff, often in poor weather and difficult light. We need someone who stays calm, communicates clearly, and flies to a consistent standard whether it's a Tuesday night fixture or a cup final.

You'll be trained on our own systems, but you must arrive already able to fly to a high level. As new equipment and technology arrives at BATCAM, we want people who are excited to learn it rather than wait to be shown. An interest in AI systems is a bonus - we are actively building AI into how we run our kit, our operations and our engineering.

This role involves regular weekend and evening work, travel across the UK, and overseas trips for international events.
