Pioneer Site Services is a growing specialist provider of fire safety, compliance, electrical, and property maintenance services, working with housing associations and local authorities across the UK. Our services include active and passive fire protection, electrical testing and installations, planned and reactive maintenance, damp and mould remediation, and compliance management, helping to keep homes safe, compliant, and well maintained.

Job Description

As an apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to install, maintain, and fault-find on the following systems:

  • Fire Protection
  • Fire Suppression
  • Fire Alarms

Entry Requirements

  • Age 18+ due to site restrictions
  • Full UK Driver's Licence preferred, would be expected to obtain before the end of the apprenticeship if you do not have this
  • Maths and English GCSE at grade 4 or above
  • Must be able to pass a DBS check

Training to be Provided

This is where you'll learn the skills that employers actually want.

Your apprenticeship training is delivered by Skills for Security, specialists in fire and security training.

  • You’ll train through block release at our Dagenham centre, for one week every eight weeks (Tuesday–Friday).
  • You’ll work towards a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship, gaining real skills and a nationally recognised qualification.

What you’ll do as part of the programme:

  • Train hands-on with real systems
  • Learn from industry experts
  • Complete a wide range of tasks and projects
  • Build evidence from your job to support your learning
  • Sit annual assessments at the centre
