Full time vacancy

FTC/Secondment until 1st September 2027

This is an exciting opportunity where the successful candidate will manage and progress the investigation of criminal offences and other incidents/enquiries, working as an integral part of a mixed economy team of Police Officers and Staff.

You will complete investigative actions, prepare case papers ensuring file completeness and delivery in accordance with Court deadlines, legislation and Force policy, and maintain victim and witness confidence to facilitate successful outcomes.

Applications are sought from qualified PIP2 Investigators.

Due to the timescales of fixed term secondment, role only suitable for PIP 2 qualified candidates only or those who have completed the Investigators Development Program / INV 156 & Serious and Complex Crime Interviewing / INV002 courses and commenced Portfolio towards PIP2 qualification.

Important: All secondments must be supported in writing by your Line Manager and Head of Department/Commander or Deputy. Please attach written approval from your line manager and Head of Department in your application. If the secondment is not supported then the role may be offered on a fixed term contract basis, but this has implications including loss of continuous service protections.
