David Hart Aerospace Pipes Limited is a leading manufacturer of precision-engineered pipes and ducts in aluminium, titanium, nimonic alloys, and stainless steels. Serving primarily the aerospace industry, with additional work in the motorsport (F1) sector, we have been operating since 1999. Our continued success and recent contract wins have secured our growth well into the next decade.

Role Overview

We are currently seeking skilled Pipe Benders to join our growing team. This role involves working with a variety of materials and thicknesses, using both manual and CNC-operated bending machines. You will be responsible for ensuring all components meet exacting aerospace standards through the use of fixtures, jigs, and precision measuring equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate manual and CNC pipe bending machines.
  • Work with a range of materials including aluminium, titanium, and stainless steel.
  • Use jigs, fixtures, and measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and company procedures.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience in pipe bending, ideally within aerospace or precision engineering sectors although not essential.
  • Proficiency in operating manual and CNC bending machines.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of measurement tools and quality control processes.
  • Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.

Desirable

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Engineering, Fabrication, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience working with aerospace-grade materials.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
  • Basic computer literacy for machine interface and documentation.
