Altrad are currently looking for an experienced Pipe Fitter to join the team in Montrose as part of the maintenance team.
This role will involve working 5 days with overtime as required
- Monday - Thursday 8.5 Hours
- Friday 4 Hours
The position is paid in line with the NAECI agreement, with lodge and travel paid where applicable.
Key Deliverables
- Read and interpret general arrangement and isometric drawings to determine work requirements.
- Fabricate pipework in workshop and site environments for both large and small bore pipe systems and superheater headers.
- Install, replace and maintain valves, including flange and butt welded joints.
- Mark out, shape and prepare pipework components using approved tools and techniques.
- Prepare work areas, materials and equipment prior to commencing engineering activities, ensuring all safety requirements are met.
- Install, position and secure pipework systems and associated components in accordance with specifications and procedures.
- Inspect pipework installations, identify defects or deviations and take corrective action where required.
- Test completed pipework systems using approved methods, recording and reviewing results in line with project requirements.
- Reinstate work areas and equipment to a safe condition following completion of activities.
- Work in accordance with permits to work, risk assessments, method statements and site safety procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and reporting defects, issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to Pipefitter Trainees where required.
- Maintain the highest standards of quality, safety and workmanship at all times.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, chargehands, engineers, clients, subcontractors and regulatory representatives.

Key Requirements / Qualifications

- A recognised training programme.
- Experience within the oil & gas industry or other continuous process industry.
- Appropriate qualifications such as CompEx, City & Guilds, ONC/HNC or NVQ level 3 equivalent should be held.
- Must be CTC cleared.
