Role Description

The Pipe Fitter Welder will perform day-to-day fabrication, installation, and maintenance of pipe work and steel structures for industrial projects. Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing materials

This is a contract role based in Liverpool with a hybrid working arrangement, combining on-site work with some work-from-home for planning, documentation, and coordination tasks.

Qualifications

  • Strong pipe fitting and welding skills, including experience with high-pressure and coded welding procedures.
  • Proficiency in reading and working from technical drawings, schematics, and isometric diagrams for pipe and steel work installations.
  • Experience with pressure testing, mechanical maintenance, and installation of machines, equipment, vessels, and tanks.
  • Ability to follow safety standards, use appropriate tools and equipment, and maintain high-quality workmanship on industrial sites.
  • Familiarity with modular construction, steam systems, and industrial plant environments is an advantage.
  • Relevant trade qualifications or apprenticeships in pipe fitting, welding, or mechanical engineering; valid welding certifications preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Liverpool with flexibility for hybrid working arrangements and occasional travel to project locations if required.
