Piping Materials & Stress Engineer

Surrey, UK

Outside IR35

Multi-Year duration

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Piping Materials & Stress Engineer to support a major international Oil & Gas development.

Based in the UK on a resident basis, this is a senior technical position providing specialist expertise across piping stress, vibration, materials and layout engineering throughout detailed engineering, procurement and construction.

The successful candidate will act as a key technical focal point, reviewing and challenging EPC Contractor engineering deliverables and ensuring compliance with project specifications and international standards.

Key requirements include:

  • 10–15+ years' Oil & Gas piping engineering experience
  • Strong Senior/Lead Piping Stress and/or Piping Materials background
  • Advanced CAESAR II experience
  • Strong understanding of FIV/AIV and dynamic piping analysis
  • Experience with metallic and non-metallic piping, particularly GRE/GRP and HDPE
  • Experience reviewing EPC Contractor engineering deliverables
  • Knowledge of piping codes, standards and material specifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials/Metallurgical Engineering or related discipline
  • Previous experience on major international Oil & Gas developments
