Major Energy Infrastructure Project | Somerset

Are you an experienced Pipefitter looking to join one of the UK's most significant engineering and construction projects? We are recruiting skilled Pipefitters to work on a major energy infrastructure project in Somerset.

The Role

As a Pipefitter, you will play a key role in the installation and assembly of complex piping systems within a highly regulated engineering and construction environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Fabricating and assembling pipework using specialist tools and techniques.
  • Installing and securing piping systems in line with detailed specifications.
  • Testing and inspecting pipework to ensure quality, safety, and compliance standards are met.
  • Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support project delivery.
  • Preparing work areas and maintaining strict adherence to health and safety procedures.
  • Assisting Supervisors in ensuring work is carried out efficiently and to the required standards.
  • Supporting the successful delivery of critical mechanical systems.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in the manufacture of small and large bore pressure pipework.
  • Experience in the installation of pressure pipework, superheater headers, and vessels.
  • Previous experience working on outages, shutdowns, major projects, or new-build engineering construction sites.
  • Experience within one or more of the following sectors:
    • Nuclear
    • Oil & Gas
    • Petrochemical
    • Thermal Power
    • Heavy Engineering Construction

Essential Qualifications

  • Full Level 3 Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 Diploma in:
    • Pipefitting
    • Pipework Fabrication
    • Pipe Welding
    • Marine Plumbing
  • Valid CCNSG Safety Passport
