Pipe Fitter - Industrial

Location: Lincoln
Contract Duration: 6-Month Contract
Hours: 40 Hours per Week
Shift Pattern: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Minimum 8-Hour Shift)
Pay Rate: £34.32 per hour PAYE / £46.39 per hour Umbrella
Overtime Rates: Weekdays 1.25x | Weekends 1.5x


Experienced Industrial Pipe Fitter Required

We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Pipe Fitter to join a leading engineering operation in Lincoln on a 6-month contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson with a strong background in power generation, heavy industry, or industrial construction environments.

The successful candidate will be involved in the fabrication, installation, and assembly of stainless steel tubing and pipework systems, working from engineering drawings and process documentation to deliver high-quality mechanical installations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Bending and forming tubing from:
    • ' to 1' using hand tools
    • 1' to 3' using machine bending equipment
  • Setting up and fabricating pipework assemblies.
  • Tack fitting pipe fabrications ready for welding.
  • Assembling tubing and pipe systems using Swagelok fittings.
  • Interpreting and working from:
    • Engineering drawings
    • Schematics
    • P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams)
  • Ensuring all work is completed to specification and quality standards.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment and following site procedures.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • 5-10 years' Pipe Fitting experience within power stations, heavy industrial, process plant, or similar environments.
  • Extensive experience working with stainless steel pipework and tubing systems.
  • Strong pipe fabrication and installation skills.
  • Proven experience using Swagelok fittings.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Installing Engineering Construction Plant Systems (Pipe Fitting) or equivalent.
  • Completion of a recognised apprenticeship in Pipe Fitting or a related engineering discipline.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.
  • Good understanding of safe working practices within industrial environments.
  • Physical fitness and capability to undertake manual handling activities as part of the role.
