Job Title: Pipefitter / Welder West Manchester (Irlam/Carrington)

Location: Irlam, England, North West

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum + OT @ T1/2 T2 + Annual Bonus = OTE 50K

About the Role:

Our client, a well-established engineering business based in the West Manchester area, are looking to recruit a Pipefitter/Welder to join their close-knit engineering team on a permanent basis.

What's on Offer:

  • £35,000 basic salary
  • Typical earnings around £50,000 with overtime
  • Annual company bonus (subject to company performance)
  • Overtime paid at 1.5x Monday to Saturday and 2x on Sundays
  • Additional payments for confined space work
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
  • Regular overtime available before and after shifts (many engineers work approximately 7:00am - 5:00pm) and Saturday mornings
  • Full training provided for FLT, Confined Space and Cherry Picker licences where required

The Role:

  • Pipefitting, fabrication and installation work
  • Welding using MIG and Stick (MMA)
  • Working on predominantly 2"-4" pipework
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Supporting the maintenance team with repairs and planned maintenance
  • Assisting with plant and equipment improvement projects

About You:

  • Time-served Mechanical Engineer or Pipefitter with a recognised apprenticeship or engineering qualification
  • Experience of pipefitting and fabrication
  • Competent MIG and Stick (MMA) welder
  • Able to read engineering drawings
  • A team player with a flexible approach to supporting the wider engineering function
