Senior Pipeline Technical Architect

The role

Wander is building its production infrastructure from the ground up and we're looking for a Pipeline Architect to lead that work. This is a foundational role: you will be designing and implementing the systems the studio runs on.

The scope covers file handling and naming conventions, software integration, production tracking, asset management, and the connective tissue between tools. We are a small studio with high ambitions for what our pipeline can support. We want someone who can build lean, robust systems that scale, not someone who will recreate a large-facility pipeline in miniature.

You likely have

  • Experience building or significantly contributing to VFX or post-production pipelines in a professional studio context
  • Strong Python skills and experience scripting across DCC applications
  • Practical knowledge of production tracking tools: ShotGrid/Flow, ftrack, or equivalent
  • An understanding of file system architecture, naming conventions, and asset versioning at production scale
  • The ability to work across departments and translate creative and production requirements into technical solutions

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Nice to have

  • Experience integrating third-party APIs and cloud-based tools into production pipelines
  • Familiarity with generative AI tooling and the specific pipeline considerations it introduces
  • Experience in a startup or early-stage studio environment

The environment

This is a rare opportunity to build a pipeline from first principles rather than inherit someone else's technical debt. You will have significant influence over the tools and systems the studio adopts and the approach will be shaped by your judgement as much as by prescription.
