Role: Pipework Fabricator
Location: Keighley, West Yorkshire
We are looking for a skilled Pipework Fabricator to join our team in Keighley. In this role, you will be responsible for the fabrication and welding of a variety of pipework assemblies, contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality products that meet customer and project requirements.
What you'll be doing:
- Fabricate and weld stainless steel pipework and associated components in line with approved fabrication drawings.
- Manufacture small and large-scale assemblies in accordance with approved welding procedures and quality standards.
- Verify materials, components, and dimensions against fabrication drawings before commencing work.
- Conduct self-inspections of completed work and participate in peer inspections to ensure compliance with quality and inspection requirements.
- Complete pre-use inspections and PUWER checks on plant, machinery, and equipment, ensuring safe operation at all times.
- Operate MIG welding equipment, cutting equipment, band saws, drilling machines, and hand tools to produce high-quality fabrications within specified tolerances.
- Accurately interpret fabrication drawings, welding procedures, and technical documentation to support right-first-time delivery.
- Identify manufacturing challenges, quality concerns, or drawing discrepancies and suggest practical solutions, escalating issues where appropriate.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment in line with health, safety, and housekeeping standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities that enhance quality, safety, productivity, and efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across fabrication, welding, inspection, and project delivery teams to meet programme and customer requirements.
- Demonstrate effective time management, adaptability, and a flexible approach to changing priorities and production schedules.
About you:
We're interested in hearing from people with experience in fabrication, welding, or pipework environments who are committed to producing high-quality work and maintaining safe working practices.
You will ideally have:
- Experience in fabrication and welding, including work with mild steel structural steelwork.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
- Experience in the assembly and fabrication of pipework, including weld preparation, fit-up techniques, and an understanding of weld shrinkage and distortion.
- Knowledge of welding procedures and quality requirements, with the ability to work to project specifications.
- Experience working in a fabrication, pipework, or welding environment, with an understanding of the accuracy and workmanship required to produce quality products.
- Competence in the safe operation of MIG welding equipment, cutting equipment, saws, drilling machines, and hand tools.
- Experience of safely lifting, turning, and moving materials and fabricated assemblies using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- A commitment to working safely, collaborating effectively with others, and delivering high standards of workmanship.

Desirable Qualifications and Training
- City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 and 3, or equivalent qualification.
- NVQ Level 3 in Welding.
- Abrasive Wheels certification.
- Forklift Truck and/or Telehandler licence.
