Purpose
As Piping Designer, you are responsible for the design, modelling and detailing of pipe routing that ensure safety. You work closely with Engineers and other Designers to accurately interpret the engineering design and ensure the design is accurately captured in the 3D design software E3D. You are responsible for ensuring the 3D Model & drawings produce fit for purpose results in a constructible and organized drawing.
Responsibilities
- You develop and maintain 3D model of equipment and Piping routing using E3D in line with P&IDs, equipment data and stress requirements.
- You prepare and produce piping deliverables including plot plans, equipment layouts, piping GAD’s, pipe support GADs, safety and escape route layouts.
- You perform clash checks, data consistency checks and ensure model has clash free prior to issuance of issue for construction deliverables.
- You collaborate with Piping Engineers, Lead Designers and other disciplines to resolve design issues and avoid re-works.
- You review vendor drawings, ensure compliance, and incorporate approved inputs into the overall design.
- You perform extraction and annotations of Isometrics drawings from E3D model and assuring quality of the isometrics.
- You collaborate in multi-disciplined teams to ensure all requirements are implemented in the piping design in a timely manner.
- You coordinate with inter-disciplines in timely manner to avoid rework for finalizing the piping design.
- You provide support to fabrication and construction site or offshore engineering activities, resolving non-conformances, management of change process, provide technical oversight/clarification to activities, interface between onsite team and back office when required.
- You proactively provide regular status updates to direct reports, highlighting progress, risks, and support requirements.

BE/BTech/ Diploma in Mechanical engineering or in relevant field.
Experience
- 0 to 5 years in any industry, preferably in Oil & Gas – FPSO/Upstream engineering.
- Proficient in E3D (Design and Draft), MDS, AutoCAD & Navisworks.
- Team spirit, good communication skills, strong analytical skills, curious and motivated to propose and/or explore new ideas.
