Position: Piping Material Specialist
Location: UK, Surrey
Contract: 12 month renewable
Airswift is currently seeking a Piping Material Specialist to join one of our major clients delivering a large greenfield development project. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a high-profile EPC environment within a dynamic technical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update piping class summaries
- Prepare equipment specifications and manage MTO/quantity control
- Analyse industrial valves, piping equipment, and accessories
- Conduct technical bid tabulations and manage supplier clarifications
- Work from P&IDs, plot plans, supplier offers, customer specifications, and project documents
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with project standards

Required Experience & Skills

- 2–5 years’ experience specifically in piping materials
- Strong understanding of:
- ASME B31.3
- API / ASTM standards
- European norms: PED / CODETI / EN series
- Expertise with SmartPlant Materials (SPM)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Solid experience working on EPC / EPCM or major industrial projects
- Ability to manage supplier documentation and technical evaluations
- Advanced English communication skills
