Job Description
🚀 The Job Mission
You will perform detailed pipe stress analysis for high-integrity piping systems across complex nuclear projects.
You will provide specialist engineering input covering flexibility, thermal, seismic and equipment loading assessments.
- 🔧 Perform detailed pipe stress analysis using CAESAR II software
- 📐 Assess flexibility, thermal expansion, vibration and seismic loading
- ⚙️ Evaluate pipe supports, restraints and spring hanger requirements
- 📚 Apply ASME, EN, RCC-M and project-specific design requirements
- 🔍 Assess piping loads transferred onto connected mechanical equipment
- 📋 Produce clear stress reports, calculation notes and technical justifications
- 🏗️ Review piping layouts, isometrics and 3D models for stress requirements
- 🤝 Coordinate technical interfaces with piping, process and structural teams
- 🛡️ Support design reviews, risk assessments and nuclear quality requirements
- 👥 Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and project teams
Qualifications
- 🎓 Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
- 🔧 Proven experience as a Pipe Stress Engineer on complex projects
- 💻 Strong proficiency using CAESAR II for piping stress analysis
- 📚 Working knowledge of ASME Section III and B31 piping codes
- ⚙️ Understanding of static equipment including vessels and heat exchangers
- 📐 Strong understanding of piping flexibility and support methodologies
- 📋 Excellent technical report writing and documentation skills
- 🔍 Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail capabilities
- 🛡️ Experience within nuclear or other high-integrity industries advantageous
- 💻 Knowledge of E3D, PDMS, Navisworks or AutoCAD advantageous
