Job Description

🚀 The Job Mission

  • Perform detailed pipe stress analysis for high-integrity piping systems across complex nuclear projects.
  • Provide specialist engineering input covering flexibility, thermal, seismic, and equipment loading assessments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed pipe stress analysis using CAESAR II software
  • Assess flexibility, thermal expansion, vibration, and seismic loading
  • Evaluate pipe supports, restraints, and spring hanger requirements
  • Apply ASME, EN, RCC-M, and project-specific design requirements
  • Assess piping loads transferred onto connected mechanical equipment
  • Produce clear stress reports, calculation notes, and technical justifications
  • Review piping layouts, isometrics, and 3D models for stress requirements
  • Coordinate technical interfaces with piping, process, and structural teams
  • Support design reviews, risk assessments, and nuclear quality requirements
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and project teams

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • Proven experience as a Pipe Stress Engineer on complex projects
  • Strong proficiency using CAESAR II for piping stress analysis
  • Working knowledge of ASME Section III and B31 piping codes
  • Understanding of static equipment including vessels and heat exchangers
  • Strong understanding of piping flexibility and support methodologies
  • Excellent technical report writing and documentation skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail capabilities
  • Experience within nuclear or other high-integrity industries advantageous
  • Knowledge of E3D, PDMS, Navisworks, or AutoCAD advantageous
