Salary: Grade from: £45,990 to £59,043 inclusive of London Weighting with potential to progress to £66,114 per annum inclusive of London Weighting. (Prorata if Part-time)
Hours: Full-time
Contract Type: 12-Months Fixed Term (Maternity Cover)

Role Description
The Professional Work Experience (PWE) Team is looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Placement and Internship Specialist to develop placements for Brunel students to retain the department’s premier position as an award-winning service.

The post-holder will support both undergraduate and postgraduate students through all aspects of their placement applications working creatively with academic departments and employers to develop students' employability and ensure an adequate supply of placement opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Support undergraduate and postgraduate students through their placement applications.
- Work creatively with academic departments and employers.
- Develop students' employability.
- Ensure an adequate supply of placement opportunities.
Requirements
- Experience supporting students in achieving their career aspirations within a recruitment environment or a related field in higher education.
- Experience of being a confident presenter with the ability to motivate students to compete effectively in a challenging job market.
- Advanced IT skills and experience of developing administrative systems.
- Ability to lead on the development of PWE systems and technology enhancement.
- Active contribution to the wider strategy of academic departments and the PWE.
- Work in a variety of subject areas including Business, IT, Engineering, Arts, Humanities, Law and Social Science subjects.
- Occasional weekend work will be expected.
