Job Description:
Position: Design Engineer Placement - Ecotec
Location: Campsie, Northern Ireland
Employment: Fixed-Term

We currently have an opportunity for a Design Engineer Placement based at our Campsie site. Working as part of the engineering team you will work on the development and maintenance of mobile recycling equipment for the Ecotec brand.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work with the engineering team to create solutions to a variety of issues
- Use the latest 3D software to produce designs and drawings for solutions
- Work with other functional departments such as Manufacturing, Production, Quality, and Service to improve machine build and service life
- Resolve problems at the root cause quickly and effectively and assist in managing engineering change processes
- Assist in producing full manufacturing drawings and engineering bill of materials
- Improve manufacturing process through improved design and consultation with the production department, purchasing, and suppliers
- Follow Group standards in the areas of QFD, FMEA, design-for-manufacture, prototype development, and field testing
- Follow Group engineering standards and associated IT systems

About You
- Be currently engaged in studying for an Engineering related degree / HND
- Knowledge of basic engineering principles
- Basic knowledge of 3D Solid Modeling CAD
- Good communication skills, both written and spoken
- Ability to quickly and continuously learn
- Numerical skills
- IT literate
- Determination to achieve results
- Good interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to work with others to meet deadlines
Desirable Criteria:
- Knowledge of 3D Solid Modeling CAD - Pro-Engineer
- Knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems
- Familiarity with Product Data Management (PDM) systems
