PLACEMENT STUDENT – Finance Analyst
We are looking for an enthusiastic Finance Analyst Placement Student to join our team specializing in Finance for our Power Systems business Segment in UK, Sandwich. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!
This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence Summer of 2027.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing process, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses.
- Support the preparation of financial forecasts by gathering data, updating models, and validating assumptions.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of annual and periodic budgets, ensuring accuracy and consistency with company objectives.
- Compile and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Maintain and update financial records in accordance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather information and ensure timely submission of required data; perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Studying towards a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Financial Accounting and Reporting – Assist in monthly closing of the books, analyzing financial data, and preparing summaries to communicate results.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail, ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks to deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications, familiarity with financial systems is an advantage, effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
