Placement Student – Internal Audit EMEA
We are looking for an enthusiastic Internal Audit EMEA Placement Student to join our team specializing in Finance for our Corporate/CBS Business in UK, Darlington. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry.
This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence Summer of 2027
RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Assists in the execution of audit plans to evaluate the effectiveness of the internal control environment.
- Performing interviews and walkthroughs to understand business processes, including risks, internal controls and any potential control gaps.
- Performing audit testing to meet audit objectives in compliance with audit standards.
- Identifying internal control issues and improvement opportunities that are meaningful and practical.
- Communicating audit status, testing results, observations, and improvement recommendations to stakeholders.
- Developing and managing relationships within the wider team and actively engaging with relevant stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Working towards a degree in Accounting, Finance or related subject; auditing a plus.
- Studying towards a professional accountancy qualification preferred.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills.
