Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic Marketing, Public Relations or Communications Student to join our team specializing in Communications for our Power Systems in Sandwich, Kent - UK. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry.

This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence summer 2027.

The requirements are to be onsite for 3 days per week so you will need to be able to travel or relocate to the location on your own behalf.

  • Assist the Power Systems Business Unit (PSBU) Communications Team in partnership with your peers across Power Generation and Industrial markets, by working in close contact with external partners and internal stakeholders on a global scale.
  • Assist in the development, management, planning and scheduling of content for social media platforms.
  • Assist with the execution of external publication, customer stories, news, and press releases.
  • Create content and update external website and internal intranet sites. As well as assist with literature, presentation, and display material development.
  • Assist with the management of online and print advertising.
  • Assist in development and execution of events, including working with third party relationship management.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Studying towards a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or Business Studies with marketing modules.
  • A motivated self-starter who will be able to engage with people across all levels of the business and be hungry to learn.
  • Basic project management skills around time management, stakeholder management, project plan development and quality deliverables.
  • Proficient in writing, editing, and developing content and messaging. Strong visual communication skills, and a knowledge of common digital publishing concepts and platforms such as websites, social media, digital signage, and mobile apps, as well as exposure to marketing measures and analytics.
