WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN ENTHUSIASTIC SITE FACILITIES PLACEMENT STUDENT TO JOIN OUR TEAM SPECIALIZING IN FACILITIES FOR OUR COMPONENTS BUSINESS SEGMENT IN HUDDERSFIELD, UK.
DURING YOUR PLACEMENT WITH US, YOU WILL LEARN HOW A MAJOR GLOBAL ORGANIZATION OPERATES, GAINING THE TOOLS AND EXPOSURE YOU WILL NEED TO BECOME AN EXPERT IN THE INDUSTRY.
THIS ROLE IS AVAILABLE TO CANDIDATES WHO QUALIFY FOR A PLACEMENT YEAR AND WILL COMMENCE SUMMER 2027. THE REQUIREMENTS ARE FOR THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE TO BE 100% ON-SITE FULL TIME FROM MONDAY TO FRIDAY BUSINESS HOURS. YOU WILL NEED TO BE ABLE TO TRAVEL OR RELOCATE TO THE LOCATION ON YOUR OWN BEHALF.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Support and supervise reactive and planned maintenance within the Facilities department.
- Support and supervise contracted teams carrying out works linked to reactive and planned maintenance within the Facilities department.
- Act as the main point of contact for planned and reactive maintenance activities and ensure documentation of maintenance activities in our filing system to satisfy compliance.
- Audit works to ensure high standards are maintained.
- Ensure communication with contracted teams throughout their work, also notifying them of any changes within the Cummins environment.
- Carry out project work as requested by Facilities manager and involvement as a team member for larger scale project works across the Huddersfield site.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- The ideal candidate will be studying for a degree in either construction, mechanical, electrical or business-related discipline.
- Experience of Microsoft packages are essential, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- IOSH or equivalent HSE qualifications are an advantage.
- Strong communications skills are essential.
