Job Title: Maintenance Technician

A leading global manufacturing organisation is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join its engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional to work within a high volume production environment, supporting equipment reliability, continuous improvement initiatives, and overall operational performance.

Reporting to the Maintenance Technical Leader, you will play a key role in maintaining production equipment through planned preventative maintenance activities, equipment repairs, troubleshooting, and technical support. You will also contribute to continuous improvement projects, TPM initiatives, and the development of technical colleagues across the manufacturing operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative and autonomous maintenance activities in line with maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure maintenance tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standard.
  • Work closely with maintenance planning teams to maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Conduct equipment audits and identify opportunities to improve maintenance effectiveness and equipment reliability.
  • Support and lead TPM activities across the manufacturing area.
  • Assist with spare parts management and preparation for planned maintenance and equipment rebuild activities.
  • Provide technical support to production teams to maximise equipment availability and performance.
  • Investigate faults, perform repairs, and support root cause analysis activities.
  • Contribute to the training and development of technical personnel across multiple shifts.
  • Participate in planned site shutdowns and maintenance periods as required.
  • Support wider engineering and operational objectives as needed.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
