Job title: Planner
Job Type: Permanent
Start date: ASAP
Rate: £85,000 - £90,000 per annum + Car Allowance + Benefits
Location: Portmadog, Wales
Hours of work: 45 Hours Per Week – Fully Site Based
The Role
You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing deliverables across all work types and project values. You will also support post-tender negotiations and the handover to the project team, while providing the project management team with efficient planning, scheduling, and performance reporting.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Ability to develop detail within an existing programme and can coach others
- Ability to update and monitor progress within the working programme and can coach others
- Ability to introduce change into a programme
- Ability to resource and cost load programmes
- Have an understanding of the introduction & evaluation of risk in programmes
- Using appropriate methods to check programme robustness
- Ability to provide routine and one-off programme outputs

Experience/Qualifications
- Demonstrable, broad understanding and working knowledge of construction methods and outputs
- Proven understanding of commercial and contractual requirements and awareness of change
- Proven skills in planning software, principally P6, and can coach others
- Thorough experience and understanding of programming techniques
- Give advice and support on short term programmes to construction teams
- Understand how to make an analytical assessment of programmes
- Ability to evaluate supply chain programmes
- Understand and comply with business processes and systems
- Ability to work to defined timescales
- Establish and maintain Internal and External Project Controls reporting
