Job Title
Are you a highly organised planner who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We're looking for a Planner to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, playing a vital role in ensuring operational works are delivered efficiently, safely, and in line with contractual commitments. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team where your planning expertise will directly contribute to the successful delivery of essential utility and infrastructure projects.
Role Overview
As a Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling works to ensure contractual service level agreements are achieved while maximising workforce efficiency. Working closely with operational teams, supervisors, clients, and customers, you will allocate work, monitor progress, manage backlogs, and ensure all required permits and notices are obtained and maintained. You will provide accurate information to field teams, respond to client requests, resolve planning issues, and keep relevant systems updated to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of customer service.

What We're Looking For
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage competing priorities while maintaining excellent communication with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
- Previous experience in a planning, scheduling, or coordination role.
- Experience using Street Manager, Aurora, or similar planning systems.
- Good understanding of street works, traffic management requirements, and utility planning processes.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word.
- A positive, solution-focused approach and commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- Previous utilities experience would be advantageous.
