Sphere Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Construction Planner to join an established contractor delivering a range of major construction projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining and monitoring detailed construction programmes, working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, commercial teams and senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed construction programmes using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Produce baseline programmes, updates and detailed short-term programmes.
- Monitor progress against programme and identify potential delays.
- Work closely with site teams to ensure programme information reflects actual progress.
- Analyse critical path, programme risks and key project milestones.
- Produce progress reports and programme updates for project teams and senior management.
- Assist with project planning, sequencing and resource requirements.
- Identify potential programme issues and work with delivery teams to develop mitigation plans.
- Support commercial and project teams with programme information and reporting.
- Attend progress and planning meetings with clients, consultants and project teams.

Requirements
- Previous experience as a Construction Planner within a main contractor environment.
- Strong construction planning and programming experience.
- Proficient in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
- Good understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing and project delivery.
- Experience managing programmes from pre-construction through to completion.
- Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work closely with site and project management teams.
