Job Title: Lead Planner

As a Lead Planner, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of a large substation project. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all project schedules are effectively developed, managed, and delivered on time, aligning with the highest standards of quality and safety.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Planner or Planning Engineer to join our team in Glasgow and play a key role in the successful delivery of a large substation project. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all project schedules are effectively developed, managed, and delivered on time, aligning with the highest standards of quality and safety.
What will you do?
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6 and other planning tools.
- Define project milestones, critical paths, and key deliverables.
- Define and develop the WBS and work packages.
- Integrate engineering, procurement, and construction schedules into a master project schedule.
- Resource load the programme.
- Perform delay analysis and propose mitigation strategies.
- Act as a key interface between the client and internal teams regarding project planning.
- Facilitate planning workshops and meetings to resolve scheduling conflicts and optimize timelines. Perform Earned Value Management planning and monitoring.
- Liaise with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure alignment of schedules.
- Perform impact analysis of changes to the project scope, timeline, or budget.
- Perform schedule risk analysis using Primavera Risk Analysis or similar software.

Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Planning Engineer in EPC projects, preferably in the energy or substation sectors.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and other relevant planning tools.
